Soft Bubble

The Soft Bubble is palpable air, with a changing and imperishable surface.
You can finger it with your hands, entering its volumes, and each time it returns to its original shape.
His skin ages, changes just noticeably with the run of time, without ever dying out.

The Soft Bubble is presence.
It seals up the air of the elements it envelops and keeps the shape of the remote space that belonged to the things, even after they have ceased to exist.
So it becomes a witness of time, like a gaseous writing that composes the biography of an era, breath after breath.

The Soft Bubble is not a sculpture in resin or painted wood, nor a high relief or a plaster cast.
The Soft Bubble is a wind between painting and sculpture, a sign between accumulation and pop culture.

Begun in 2000, experimentation with the Soft Bubble was perfected in 2003, after a series of attempts to transfigure everything that has taken part in our existence and that one day will no longer exist.

The real substance that creates the Soft Bubble is the air made visible and tangible, imprisoned in a rubbery material, which deflates and re-inflates with the pressure of a finger.
